Autumn Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Monday, 14 October 2013

Using the items in October's Bntnews beauty box, I have put together an Autumn inspired make up tutorial. Autumn brings to mind rich hues of gold, red and bronze. There is a certain harmony in Autumn, to me it is more grand and elegant than blatant Summer. Literary waffles aside, just enjoy this picture.

Before I get started on the tutorial, I would recommend reading this article from Bntnews about Fall beauty trends in Korea.

The Fall trend in Korea is to have a more dewy or luminous finish for healthy, moisturized looking skin as opposed to matte skin.

BRTC Jasmine Whipping Essence- I prepped my skin with this which keeps my skin extremely hydrated and dewy.

Graymelin CC Cream- This product does not offer any coverage, but rather alters my skin texture to be more silky which helps with the 'glowy' look. I use it as a primer before my BB cream.

Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream- I stippled this over my face for a medium coverage and dewy finish. You can apply air cushion but don't apply powder as this will mattify the skin.

Sleek Blush by 3 palette in Pumpkin- applied high on the cheekbones for a peachy contour.

A smoky eye with a nude lip is always on trend. Jazz it up with this smoky eye which features a pop of burgundy with gold and bronze tones for a beautiful, eye-catching gradient eye. Perfect for Fall!

Urban Decay Primer Potion- all over the lids to keep eye shadows vibrant for the whole day.

Stylenanda 3CE One Color Eyeshadow in Saturn- Pat this burgundy color all over the lid for maximum intensity. This color is the star of the show and is sure to turn heads.

Naked Palette Half Baked- blended into the inner third of the lid and tear ducts.
Naked Palette Hustle- blended into the outer third of the lid in a sideways V shape.

Tony Moly Backstage Eyeliner in Choco Brown- Brown eyeliner will compliment the eyeshadow well. Draw a slight wing and line the outer 2/3 of the lower lid.

Ebay False eyelashes (optional)- To add some drama to the look!

Nude lips are classic, but I love to add a hint of gold to compliment the eyes and give that sunkissed goddess vibe.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Champagne on Ice- a frosty, peachy nude applied all over the lips.

Naked Palette Half Baked Eyeshadow- patted on the middle of the bottom lip.

Here's the finished look! I added a gold head chain which I made myself. I love this look and am pleasantly surprised at how wearable red eyeshadow can be! Let me know what you think below.
