'The surface of the Earth holds subtle health-boosting energy. All we have to do is touch it and become truly alive. In the documentary film Grounded, you can see this amazing phenomenon transform the life of people who had been struggling with health issues like chronic pain, and one man who had been wheelchair-bound for decades is able to walk again.
Even plants are drastically impacted when they are taken away from the Earth’s natural energy. Yet, the act of grounding, or Earthing, as it’s sometimes called, isn’t really an unusual phenomenon at all. It’s actually a natural act that virtually every living creature does instinctively'.
So basically, we humans should have as much contact with the Earth as possible for optimal health benefits. It sounds crazy doesn't it, and all I could do was keep cracking bogan jokes until I watched the documentary which is a bit cheesy, but did have enough scientific evidence in it to convince me. Plants grew faster, people were cured and the paraplegic man stood up and walked :O. Pretty ground-breaking stuff if you ask me!
Yanto, Steph and I have been tentatively trying out this theory and trying to walk or lay on the ground or conductive surfaces as much as possible. As I have been suffering from insomnia, between periods of study when I'm feeling my worst, I have been laying down on the concrete for 5 mins or so. I have found that this gives me quite a curiously significant boost of energy. Placebo effect or not, I like it. Yanto has taken it a step further (as usual) and has been walking around in public barefooted and even made a grounding cable which he hooks up to himself every night when he sleeps. He says his back pain has gone and his feet feel better. The snoring definitely hasn't gone though. He has also taken to napping outside.
|When I can't find Yanto inside, I now know where to look. Yes he was actually sleeping.|

New age nonsense or not, grounding is free. This is not a product they can market and make money from (unless you make your own device), so what's the harm in trying it out? Feel that sand beneath your body!
