The great thing about this eyeliner is that the brush is very conveniently packaged in the lid of the eyeliner- just pull it off and voila, you have a brush! All of the gel eyeliners I have used in the past have come with separate brushes and where I have never lost the brush, my sister has. She ended up having to order another brush through the mail which was just plain bothersome. So a big plus for having the brush included in the lid!
The lower part of the lid twists off to reveal the gel which was notably smaller than the base of the container.
Choco brown is a medium brown with iridescent shimmer particles. Although it is brown (sounds bland right?), this shade appears brighter and more outstanding on the eyes than black eyeliner. Choco Brown was a surprise, before this product came into my life, I only used boring black eyeliners. After using this product for two weeks, I am hooked. This shade of eyeliner flatters my tanned skin tone and dark blonde hair extremely well! Even the boyfriend is a fan and requested for me to use brown instead of black from now on!
Look how much I have used already!
The formula is fantastic! It glides on smoothly with the provided brush without pulling on the eyes. The pigmentation is superior to other gel liners I have used before, despite the lighter brown color which I expected to be more sheer compared to black. This product also dries extremely fast- with liquid eyeliner I have to wait a minute or so before going in to curl my eyelashes for fear of smudging my eyeliner. Adversely, this product seems to dry immediately so I can happily continue my routine without waiting. Furthermore, this product is waterproof and lasts the whole day without a smudge to be seen, yet removes fully with my Neutrogena fresh foaming cleanser. My last gel eyeliner (by Maybelline) would transfer into my tear duct area every day without fail. This product has totally changed my perceptions of gel eyeliner, the bottom line is: I love it!
One thing I noticed was that the eyeliner changes color when applied over an eyeshadow (Half Baked from Naked Palette). It becomes a lighter brown and personally, I don't find this to be a negative as I still like the color, just thought I would point it out as noteworthy.
The photo below shows how the eyeliner applies on a bare eyelid. The brush is dense and firm which allows for control of the line thickness. As you can see, it is easy to draw a sharp winged line that tapers out to a fine point. Check out my Fall look which shows how magnificently the brown shade pairs with neutral colors.
