How to Style Basics Without Looking Boring- White Singlet

Sunday, 3 November 2013

The key to styling basics without looking boring is choosing pieces with details! Gone are the days where I go to Cotton on and 'stock up' on plain singlets thinking they will come in handy for basic days, because they just end up being used as exercise gear. I got this Topshop singlet from my sister as a hand me down (or hand me up as she's younger than I?) a few months ago and I love it. It's still technically just a white singlet, but it's just as comfortable as a cotton singlet with it's loose fit, yet looks so much more elegant and expensive.

I paired it with a vintage leather skirt I got from a store in Melbourne and my usual cut out boots. I desperately need a pair in white for Summer, but can't seem to find any that take my fancy. Some unique silver jewellery pieces completed this look!

Topshop Petite singlet
Vintage leather skirt
Shoe Show cut out boots
Diva necklace
Pigeonhole gunslinger earrings

I actually went abalone hunting and got up at 5:30am that morning! Pretty beach pictures to come :)
