Whilst traveling, see my travel posts here, I picked up products here and there at various beauty stores but did a giant haul on my last day at the famous Matsumoto KiYoshi in two locations opposite the Ikebukuro train station. To be honest, I expected the stores to be larger, both were two stories high and not particularly different to many other chains I chanced upon throughout my travels.
As these stores are packed full to the brim of products, most of which are not in English, it can be extremely overwhelming! I highly recommend doing your research first and shop a few brands that take your fancy. Mine were Lavshuca, Canmake, Visee and Kate.
Eye products from L-R: Maybelline the Falsies mascara, Maybelline Collosal mascara, Visee pencil and powder eyebrow, Daiso bottom lashes, K-palette 1 Day Tattoo eyeliner, Canmake glitter liners, 2 x Rosy Rosa lashes, Visee Glossy Rich Eyes eyeshadow palette, 2 x Kate eyeshadow palettes.
Hair products: DearFul Oil Treatment Shiny and the mega popular Oshima Tsubaki Camelia oil for hair and skin. Very glad I did my research and picked up the Camelia oil because it's really good!
Skin products- Fasio BB cream, Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit, refill pack of Mellsavon face wash, Pore Putty clear make up base, Point Magic Pro pressed powder, 2 x Canmake Glow Fleur Cheeks, Etude House Golden Ratio highlighter, Etude House Collagen moistfull essence-in base.
Nails: 2 x Kate polishes, Canmake silver glitter polish, Canmake gel top coat.
Lips: Canmake Candy Wrap Lip, 2 x Lavshuca Candy BonBon lipsticks, 2 x Kate liquid rouge glosses, Etude House Color Pop gloss, Etude House Fresh Cherry tint.
Note that Etude House is not available in Japanese drugstores. I went to one in the Lumine Est building in Shinjuku and another in the Osaka Daimaru shopping complex.
I will be reviewing some of these items as the year progresses depending on my schedule- I got back on Friday and Uni starts on Monday! It feels like I haven't had any time to relax these holidays wahhh.
On another note, I neatened up the top of my wardrobe with some Japan and Nepal items. Much better! I particularly like my peg tree and cute garden ornaments.
