Dark Florals OOTD and FOTD

Wednesday, 5 March 2014

I wore this somewhat daring dress on our belated Valentines date which consisted of watching Frozen (finally!) and then a huge conveyor belt sushi feast at Jaws. Needless to say, a loose and romantic garment was in order! I went with this black maxi dress from City Beach that forms a purple gradient to the bottom, ending with a bright floral party.

I went bolder with my makeup using my new Rimmel scandaleyes silver glitter pencil on my tear duct area which did not budge all night! On my lips is Rimmel's famous Apocalips lip lacquer in the signature Apocaliptic fuchsia shade which I got for free with a Priceline deal. I usually don't like bold lip colors on myself but this one suited me better than most. Contrary to many reviews on the product, I didn't notice any bleeding and my dry lips stayed fairly hydrated all night with reapplication after eating. So far I think it's a pretty good product.

I have never owned anything with a plunge this low and thankfully the cut was taught enough so I felt perfectly safe. One of the best things about having a severe lack of cleavage is being able to wear garments like this and not look 'slutty' because I'm actually just revealing my sternum ^^.

Also, after much agonizing over web/coding/design riffraff, I finally managed to change my blog banner. I've always been a fan of minimalistic design and I think this one will stay for awhile! What do you think?

  1. That dress is exquisite, although yeah that plunge.. hahahaha all it will take is even a slight breeze which I imagine you'be petrified of. Hahaha

Still.. .everything's properly covered! far from slutty at least for pictorial purposes

    1. Thank you! Haha not at all, the plunge-y part is really quite tight and I didn't feel in danger of it moving at all.
