Nature Republic Super Aqua Max Fresh Watery Cream for Dry Skin (Pink color)
Sunday, 1 June 2014
Hello everyone! After a slew of Western product reviews, I'm back with the much awaited review of Nature Republic's Super Aqua Max cream for dry skin! I reviewed the green cream for combination skin some months ago as part of my Bntnews beauty box (review here). I loved it so much that I asked a friend to purchase the pink version for me on her trip to Korea so that I could use it during Winter.
This one is a high performance hydrating cream for dry skin. It has the feeling of a 'moisture pack' with wetness of water, chlorella, seaward, plankton, marine plant extracts, soluble collagen and hyaluronic acid composition for moist skin.
The packaging is the same as the green version, but in pink. I left out the photos of the box- does anyone here like looking at box photos? Usually I just skip past them when I read other blogger's reviews, so let me know in the comments!
I absolutely love the heavy packaging and pastel peachy-pink color of the jar! So simple yet adorable (dat ripple lid!).
The cream does come with a spatula but I just use my fingers as the product is not hard to scoop out. The texture is very similar to the green version but it's thicker and richer. I was hoping that it would have the same cooling, fresh scent of the combo skin cream but instead it has a really interesting musky floral scent. I don't dislike the smell, but I do prefer the combo cream scent.
You can see the moisture glistening off the cream! It turns watery and slick when you spread it over your skin, which allows a little amount to go a long way.
My skin absorbs the cream really fast, just like it did with the combo skin cream. The main difference is that the green cream dried matte, whereas the pink leaves me with a healthy, slightly dewy glow. It definitely feels more moisturizing and is absolutely perfect for my dry skin in the Winter. Used generously by itself, it can definitely provide my skin with enough hydration to prevent the dreaded flakes! I also (somehow) feel like this provides a really good moisture barrier on my skin which prevents it from losing hydration during the day.
This photo was taken 15 minutes after application of the cream. See how my skin has a dewy glow?
I thought I loved the green combo skin cream when I tried it but it turns out that I like the pink version better. Well, that makes sense because I have dry skin! If you have dry skin I highly highly recommend this product- I would definitely repurchase it. My SO loved it so much that he even bought one for himself- pink jar and everything (coming from a dude who dislikes using the pink Wii remote... That's a big deal)!
You can get this on Honestkin for $11.69... Fudge that's cheap for such a great product! Don't forget to click the coupon button on the top right of the page and enter my coupon code
I hope you guys enjoyed this review! Have you tried any of these Nature Republic creams?
