Crop Natural Skincare Line Mini Reviews- Now Available In Australia!
Wednesday, 24 September 2014
If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know I was lucky enough to be sent the entire Crop Skincare line (thank you Ange!) to test out. I just have to say I am really so grateful that brands think enough of my opinion and reach to send me products. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to them and to you for reading my blog.
Crop products are 95% naturally derived, which is a term that has caused a lot of confusion lately. Here's what Crop has to say about the term:
"Any skincare company can claim that their products contain natural ingredients or are naturally inspired. However, for a product to be truly natural it must have at least 95% of its ingredients derived from sustainable resources of a natural origin with the other 5% being ingredients that are absolutely free from any possibility that they could do any harm to our health. In our products the 5% consists mainly of water (which cannot be considered to be part of the 95% natural component)".
The products are not tested on animals and do not contain parabens or sulphates.
You can purchase the whole line at Coles supermarkets.
This post will feature some short thoughts on each of the products and it is likely I will review my favourites in greater depth in the coming weeks.

When I unboxed these, I was very impressed. The chic matte black packaging looks appealing, expensive and unisex- a description I can safely say, I have never used before. As a former design
nerd student, I was drooling over the 'CROP' typography (isn't it cool?) for a while.
From left to right: Pure Macadamia Oil, Pure Rosehip Oil, Pure Argan Oil, Daily Facial Moisturiser, Gentle Cleansing Gel and Double Sided Facial Wipes (laid down).
1. Double Sided Facial Wipes 25/pack, $6
The CROP Hypoallergenic Double Sided Facial Wipes are made from a soft viscose material and are specially designed to provide a dual process cleansing experience. Gently exfoliate and brighten the skin with the textured microbeads, then soothe and polish the skin with the smooth reverse side.
I find the microbeads quite harsh on my sensitive skin and my face looks red afterwards from the friction. They don't remove make up either, so I don't really have much use for these.
2. Pure Macadamia Oil, $15
The CROP Pure Macadamia Oil is a nutrient rich, natural oil that can be used as a facial cleanser, an anti-ageing treatment on the face and body or as a high density hydration treatment for hair and nails.
I don't agree with this as a makeup remover/cleanser, but I like it as a moisturiser for my skin and hair! It actually absorbs into my dry hair, instead of sitting on top of it making it look both greasy and dry. The pump top makes it really easy to use and I have gotten into a good habit of slathering it all over my body after I shower.
3. Pure Rosehip Oil, $18
The CROP Pure Rosehip Oil is a lightweight, rapidly absorbing, natural oil with Vitamin A properties to assist in fighting the common signs of ageing and help restore vitality in damaged skin on the face and body.
The CROP Pure Argan Oil is a multi-benefit, lightweight, natural oil derived from the kernels of the Argan tree in Morocco, that can be used to nourish the face, body, hair and nails.
I find 3 & 4 very similar and I adore using them on my face. I find the Argan oil to be slightly thinner than the Rosehip. I love the heaviness of these oils as they plump my skin up and somehow seem to blur pores and imperfections. I would recommend using them as a night treatment 2-3 times/week for dry skin and once a week for oily skin.
The CROP Daily Facial Moisturiser is a fast absorbing formulation that deeply nourishes and assists in hydrating and protecting the skin. Infused with a gentle essential oil blend and enriched with the CROP Vital 8 ingredients to promote healthy skin; Jojoba, Vitamin E, Cocoa Butter, Rose Hip Oil, Aloe Vera, Rice Protein, Wheat Protein and Lavender Oil.
The CROP Gentle Cleansing Gel is a sulphate free and paraben free formulation that removes make-up and impurities, revealing deeply cleansed and purified skin. Infused with a gentle essential oil blend and enriched with the CROP Vital 8 ingredients to promote healthy skin; Jojoba, Vitamin E, Cocoa Butter, Rose Hip Oil, Aloe Vera, Rice Protein, Wheat Protein and Lavender Oil.
In my opinion, this is the star product. It has the same divine scent as the Daily Facial Moisturiser and I can feel my muscles relax as I inhale it in whilst I wash my face. It's like a mini aromatherapy treatment! It removes BB cream well, but not waterproof mascara. It leaves a thin film on my skin which serves as a barrier that really locks the moisture in. Highly recommend this!
Overall, I was very impressed with this line, especially considering the affordable price tags. You can buy this line from Coles and I definitely recommend checking these out! My must-try's are the Gentle Cleansing Gel and Daily Facial Moisturiser. I would also recommend the oils as they can be used on the face, hair and body.
Please let me know if you have tried these or are interested in them!
*I was gifted these products for review. My opinions are 100% honest.
