Mask Day with Style Story! Leaders Insolution Wrinkle Filler Skin Clinic Mask Review

Thursday, 25 September 2014

I'd like to introduce you to a brand new Australian based Korean cosmetics and skincare store- Style Story! Their website launched this week, so go have a look! The owner of Style Story, Lauren uses her skills in Italian, Korean and Mandarin Chinese (impressive right?), to source quality products from around the world, which she personally hand-picks and road-tests. All the products on the site were chosen for their suitability to the Australian climate! Read more about Style Story here.

They have also kindly supplied my readers with a coupon code:

*I don't gain any benefits if you use the code

On to my Style Story package- I received a Leaders Insolution paper mask, TonyMoly lip patch, Tony Moly eyebrow pencil, love heart earrings and 2 samples. Shipping was super fast, it took around a week to get to my doorstep- hurrah for Australia based stores!

The only complaint I had about the packaging is that the earrings were displayed on a cardboard sheet, so the posts were exposed. They actually pierced through the Leaders Insolution mask (at the top) and everything got a bit sticky. Thankfully Leaders Insolution masks contain serum galore, so there was no noticeable difference in using the mask.

$6

I have used Leaders Insolution masks before and find some better than others. This one was ace! As usual, the sheet quality is amazing and looks and feels translucent on my face. I was doing my Pure Glow juice cleanse at the time, so I sipped on my juice and relaxed whilst I waited for my skin to absorb all the plentiful goodness from the saturated mask.

I can't attest to any wrinkle improvement for obvious reasons, but I definitely thought my skin looked brighter and more luminous. I feel like my skin absorbed the serum in this mask better than the others- you can see that my skin does not look like there is serum sitting on top of it. Overall, loved this one and was one of my favourites out of the Leaders Insolution masks I have tried. A shame it costs $6 on the site as that is very expensive for a one use paper mask.

I also received the famous TonyMoly Tomatox Magic Massage pack sample! I was really excited to try this one because I have heard so many good things about it.

"Containing tomato water and extracts, this multi-functional mask will leave tired and dull skin looking amazingly bright, clear and supple."

$22 for an 80g pot

I loved that Style Story took the care to include a sticker with English directions on the back of all their samples they sent.

This is what the mask looks like! It looks like a clay mask, but it does not dry up. It remained moist and sticky the whole time plus smelt and felt so refreshing. I really enjoyed the texture of this mask, especially for my skin which is normal/dry. The only con was that it took some time to wash off as it has a very 'slippery' texture when mixed with water. This mask really made an impression on me and is a product I would consider buying.

I finished up my pamper day with the sample of a VC Power 10 Effector serum by It's Skin.

"VC Effector is a brightening serum containing vitamin C and green tea components, which suppresses the formation of freckles that can make skin look dull and dark, and tightens pores to promote a luminous and healthy looking complexion. Vitamin C has been clinically proven to enhance collagen synthesis, which regenerates skin and can diminish the appearance of wrinkles."

This was a clear serum with a watery texture. It was not oily at all and absorbed in to my skin very quickly without leaving an oily residue. Seeing as this was a one time use sample, I cannot really say it had much brightening effect on my skin. Personally I prefer heavier serums.

Has anyone tried this product, if so, what are your thoughts?

That concluded my mask day with Style Story. Make sure to check them out on their Instagram @style_story_au and give them some support!

*I was gifted these items but my opinions are 100% honest.
