Tonymoly Kiss Kiss Lovely Lip Patch Review

Style Story, a new Australia based Korean cosmetics and skincare boutique, sent over the Tonymoly Kiss Kiss Lovely Lip Patch for review. I have seen these around online and on Eat Your Kimchi and thought they looked hilarious!
Treat your lips to the care and attention they deserve with this great lip mask from Korean beauty favourite Tony Moly.
Lightly scented with blueberries, this single-use mask is a lip shaped hydro gel patch that will give you soft, tight and moisturized lips – the perfect antidote to flaky, chapped and cracked lips!
HOW TO USE
Wash and dry the lips. Peel the patch from the packet and apply it to the lips. Remove after 20~30 minutes to reveal kissably soft lips!
The packaging is both funny and completely adorable. It has little ducks on it and one of them is wearing a beret!
The mask is a giant pair of rubbery pink lips and proved to be very slippery. It is quite delicate and can be pierced easily by your nails, so be careful when handling it! The serum is very generous and tends to drip.
This is how it looks over my mouth. I was so bemused whilst wearing this, even more so because I was trying not to smile for fear of inducing an air bubble in the mask and causing it to slip off! The mask feels cool and there are no tingling effects. After a few minutes I found that the mask slipped downwards far enough so that most of it was resting on my chin. It didn't stick too well to my lips and I had to reapply it a few times. Then again my lips are quite pouty and protrude quite a lot.
I purposely waited for a day where my lips were particularly chapped to test out this product.
Unfortunately my lips were as chapped as ever after 20 minutes of treatment. I found my lips looked a little redder, but that was the extent of the difference. In fact the redness emphasised my lips' terrible condition. The serum absorbed into my lips (and chin) very quickly and did not leave any residue.
Overall, this is a fun novelty item that makes for great snapchats, but does it actually work? I doubt so. Personally, I think you'd be better off with lots of water and lip balm!
Have you tried a lip patch before? Did it work for you?
