Eye Candys Geo Marigold Grey Lenses Review
Tuesday, 21 October 2014
I was contacted by circle lens and beauty store Eyecandys to review some lenses some weeks ago. They have an amazing range of circle lenses on their site, so I had an extremely hard time choosing which lenses to review. I also got distracted by their large range of 3CE make up...
I finally decided on the Geo Marigold Grey lenses because the combination of cool grey flecked with gold seemed very chic and unusual.

My package came in around 2 weeks which is a fairly average international shipping time for Australia. I adore the little compact plastic casing my lenses and lens case came in! They also thoughtfully included a care guide which would be very helpful for people not familiar with circle lenses. Unfortunately the lens case is not in the form of a cute animal.
The design of the sticker is so elegant and mature looking right?
This was when I realised I had forgotten to tell the store my prescription! These lenses came in plano, so unfortunately I have to wear them with glasses! My fault entirely and I'm very annoyed at myself.
These lenses actually look very similar to my favourite G&G A21 gray lenses, except with a thinner limbal ring and the gold flecks. In the case the gold flecks look very minor, however when worn they come to life!
I chose to do a gold and grey smokey cat eye look to compliment these lenses. Considering I couldn't see what I was doing (because of my mistake with the prescription), I think my make up turned out quite well!
The gold flecks come to life in the sunlight. These lenses look natural, but the gold gives them that wow factor! I like that the limbal ring is very thin and that the gradient of colour is smooth. You can see the brown of my eyes through the middle of the lens which compliments the gold very well.
I can wear these lenses (with my glasses) for 6 hours without even feeling them in my eyes. However I notice that my right eye is red when I take them out, which means that they do cause some minor irritation. These may not be the best for those with sensitive eyes.
The enlargement factor is perfect for my small eyes! These lenses will give you a sexy and very feline look.
Overall, I love the look of these lenses and wish I had got them in my prescription! I absolutely love the metallic shimmer, it makes my eyes sparkle without being too overwhelming. The only down side is the comfort level, and that being said I did not physically feel any pain and my right eye was a little bloodshot. Again, they may not suit sensitive eyes. But they are so pretty, I love them anyway!
You can get them from Eye Candys here for $27.
