Wishtrend Wishlist- Products for Acne Prone Skin

Friday, 20 March 2015

Hello everyone! I hope you have been having a fantastic week- I for one had a very scattered day in clinic yesterday. But alas, "the darkest night will end and the sun will rise!" (anyone get that reference?)

Despite being a beauty blogger and getting lots of new products to trial, there are many products on the market that tempt me. When it comes to brands, I have no loyalty *shifty eyes*. I'm just as likely to go for a brand that I haven't used before than a popular one.

My skin used to be almost perfect with a dry to normal texture. These past months have seen my complexion take a turn for the worst and it is now combination and acne prone with a hefty amount of scarring.
BUT WHY?!?!
Therefore, I am justified in rehashing my entire skincare and makeup collection *nods*. I was browsing through the popular Korean cosmetics and skincare site Wishtrend (I love their Youtube channel!) and noticed so many new brands and products not commonly seen on other sites!

I am desperately trying to use natural, non clogging products on my skin and this acne treatment BB cream by Enca looks like it fits the bill perfectly. There aren't many BB creams that are designed for acne prone skin, and I really like the emphasis on both treatment and coverage. Other features include: SPF, wrinkle care, hydration and brightening. I'm currently using an organic foundation, which has neither improved or worsened my skin, so maybe it's time to try a treatment base instead!

It defeats the purpose of applying an acne control BB cream when you slap any old pore clogging concealer on top, especially on your problem areas. When I saw that Enca had a matching AC control concealer it went on my wish list immediately! This product claims to reduce redness and swelling as well as hydrate the skin to prevent those pesky flakes from forming. I really like the idea of no guilt high coverage! Wishtrend is actually having a buy 1 get one free promotion on this product now!

Continuing the theme of using treatment products for acne prone skin, this powder by Ciracle calms inflamed spots and controls oil production. Reviews say this powder has light coverage, which works for me because I expect my BB cream and concealer to do the coverage work. Powder exists to set everything in place and reduce oiliness.

I would love to try this 3 step system of treatment makeup!

I have seen a few bloggers rave about this product, which makes me really curious about it. The advanced formula has less ingredients for greater effect- indeed, the new ingredients list is half the size of the old one! Less ingredients is always better in my opinion. This serum is recommended for brightening, reducing pigmentation, blemish prone and dry skin. I was glad to see that blemish prone skin was on the list because most scar reduction products are not really recommended to be used on active pimples.

Ingredients list: Hippophae Rhamnoides Water (70%), Ascorbic Acid (21.5%), Sodium Lactate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Cassia Obtusifolia Seed Extract, Allantoin,Xanthan Gum, Ethyl Hexanediol

The idea of these lip tints is so novel, I had to throw them on the list as soon as I saw a demonstration on Youtube! You apply the jelly-like tint to your bare lips for 5-10 minutes, then peel it off. Voila, your lips have a vivid tint that supposedly lasts for 12 hours. I do have dry lips and am worried it will be drying, but my curiosity is just too great. The colour I want the most is chic burgundy purple!

There completes my wishlist! Do any of these items catch your eye?
