Klenspop EXY 3 Color Violet Lens Review

Tuesday, 26 May 2015

Klenspop contacted me some weeks ago and asked me to pick a lens to review. My curiosity got the better of me and I decided to try a violet lens for the first time! The lens I chose is called the EXY 3 color violet lens. Shipping took 2-3 weeks which is relatively normal from Korea to Australia.

The packaging Klenspop uses is unique and very pretty! I have seen these boxes on other blogs before and always thought that it was a brand of circle lenses that produced this packaging! However, it's actually Klenspop, so every lens no matter what brand, will come in a box like this.

On the back are directions which are very handy for first time users.

Inside the box are two lenses, a pair of tweezers and a lens case. This is the first time I have ever received complimentary tweezers for circle lens before! I was very impressed.

Brand: MI GWANG
Diameter: 14.0mm
Graphic Diameter: 13.2mm
Base Curve: 8.6
Water Content: 38%
Disposable: 1 year
Country of origin: South Korea

The graphic diameter is only 13.2mm so the enlargement factor is very minimal. I think it's a good choice for those who are a bit intimidated by crazy color lenses (like me)! The lens is quite translucent and thin which means greater comfort! I think this lens is as natural as you can get for a violet color and I really the effect on me. Considering that the lenses are quite translucent, I think they cover up the dark brown of my irises very well!

I kept my eye makeup soft and pastel that day to match the lenses.

In the following photo you can see that this lens slips off my right eye (your left). Some lenses do this and some don't but I'm assuming the reason is my slight astigmatism? I find that it is only noticeable when I point it out- in fact I didn't even notice until I had finished editing the photos!

These lenses are on the comfortable side, not the most comfortable I've tried but they come very close! 6 hours of wear is no problem, but 8 may be pushing it for my sensitive eyes. I am really pleased that I tried these lenses and would recommend them if you are looking for a 'natural' violet design.

You can get these lenses from Klenspop for $22.

Have you tried violet lenses before?

*I was gifted these lenses for review, all opinions are 100% honest.
