Stylenanda 3CE #Up close Eye shadow Palette Review and Tutorial
Friday, 4 December 2015
Every time I see a Stylenanda product in my Bntnews product brief I do a little joyful jig! I have tried two eyeshadow products from 3CE before: a single eye shadow in #Saturn and an eye shadow trio in #No No No and the formulas are just ridiculously easy to work with and provide the most beautiful, soft and blendable results.
For once I don't have to complain about the brush/applicator because there is none! I love that more space can be allocated to the eye shadows which are really quite large #bangforyourbuck. On a side note I would really love to try out the 3CE brush sets as they look stunning.
The shades in #Up Close are very soft, pretty and neutral perfect for an everyday look. Reddish Brown and Vintage Burgundy are very elegant and mature shades. The swatches below are on my bare skin. See how silky the texture is!
The shadows are hard to the touch and do not kick up much dust when using a brush. The beauty of this kind of texture is that there is never ANY fallout! Due to this, the pigmentation is medium but buildable, perfect for beginners.
Twinkle Pink: Pinky, shimmery champagne with visible glitter.
Indie Pink: Shimmery light brown coral.
Reddish Brown: Orange bronze.
Vintage Burgundy: Burgundy brown.
The level of shimmer decreases from L to R. Here is demo of how I would apply all 4 colours for a neutral every day look.
I used Stylenanda's gel eyeliner in #Brown and my favorite BornPretty lashes to finish off the upper lash line.
Lower lash line features Vintage Burgundy in the outer 2/3 and Twinkle Pink in the tear duct.
I have 'hooded' eyelids which tend to hide a lot of the eye shadow when I have my eyes open. Nonetheless the burgundy colors peek through and the finished look is very elegant. I even got a compliment on my eye makeup when I wore this look to clinic!
I love this palette for the soft colour scheme, unique texture and lack of a brush! This palette is so new that it actually is not available on the Stylenanda website yet, but I assume that it will retail around the $36 USD price point, which was the price of the limited edition polka dot eye shadow palettes. Considering this is an eye shadow palette, that the colors are so wearable (they will suit any skin tone!) and it is likely to last you years, I think it is worth the price if you have the money to spare. I prefer the texture of these shadows over my beloved Naked palette which was over $50 and I only use 3-5 of the shades!
